You might be thinking that dog obedience training is complicated, more so if you have no prior canine training experience. You are tired of your dog messing around, but what can you do to get him to listen? What will happen if you don’t do things right? Sure it could be difficult sure you will probably become frustrated, but remaining persistant and showing patience through out your pet’s training is going to be worth it over time.
Some people find that during obedience training that not only does the dog learn quite a bit but the handler does to. During this time you and your dog will really start to bond. In order for the training to be effective make sure you are meeting the needs of your pup. Every canine has a different unique temperament and personality, just like us. As long as you take note of this the obedience training will become more successful.
Staying consistent and being repetitive is crucial to your dogs training. Just because your pup is not catching on quite as fast as you think he/she should does not mean that he/she is no good.
The training of your pet should begin post haste. Even though you love em, to much playing and not enough work could lead to trouble.
Letting your dog know that you are in charge needs to be established. The house training of your new pet may prove to be your biggest challenge. Dogs need a leader, you must become the leader. Once your new pet understands that you are in charge, things should move along much more smoothly.
Even though you have established yourself as the one in charge, don’t go crazy and be to strict because that will have a reverse affect,it is still unsure his new surroundings. Always remember the golden rule when it comes to dog training, make it fun.
Start reading some dog training books before you get your newpup.Even if you just decided on impulse to get your new dog, it will never be to late to start learning about how to train your dog.
Stay positive, always keep learning and let your dog think there is nothing better in life than hanging out with you.
